Attendance

A candidate will be permitted to appear for the semester end examination at the end of each semester only if:
1. He/ She secure not less than 75 percent of attendance during that semester.

2. He/ She earns a progress certificate from the Head of the Department concerned of having satisfactorily completed the course of study prescribed in the subject as required by these regulations and

3. His/ Her conduct has been satisfactory

However, the Principal may condone the shortage in the attendance up to a maximum of 15 percent for valid reasons on paying the prescribed fee for condo nation.

Course of Study

The Course of study for the B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., degree shall consist of the following

Part I	Tamil or other Modern or Classical language
Part II	English
Part III	Group A – Main Subject Group B – Two Allied Subjects
Part IV	NME, SBE, EVS, VE
Part V	Extension Activity

Part I – Tamil or Other Modern or Classical Language

The course of study for Part I shall comprise the study of Tamil or any one of the following Modern or Classical Languages at the option of the candidate according to the syllabi and text-books prescribed from time to time.

Classical	Sanskrit

Part II – English

The course of study for Part-II English shall comprise the study of four papers according to syllabi and text-books prescribed from time to time.
